The Escapade I is located on the 4th floor of the Residence Orchidee. With this top location it is the ideal base for shopping fun or hiking pleasure as well as cultural activities. Or simply to enjoy the salty sea air.
The decoration of the apartment has been done with an eye for luxury and comfort and, above all, with the intention to make your stay in Ostend a pleasant experience. Whether you come for a weekend, a week or a longer period of time, it doesn’t matter … You’ll find everything you need to feel at home quickly.
In the open kitchen with cooking island you will find an induction hob, combi-oven (microwave + hot-air), dishwasher and fridge with separate freezer. There are a lot of kitchen utensils (kettle, egg cooker, toaster, coffee machine, etc.). And, of course, plenty of crockery to receive friends!
The bedroom can be completely darkened and a box spring bed makes for an excellent night’s sleep. The adjoining spacious bathroom has 2 sinks, a comfortable walk-in shower and ample room for your own toilet stuff. Hairdryer, shampoo and shower gel are provided. There is free Wi-Fi and a flat-screen tv with curved screen provides optimal viewing. Awnings and blinds provide the necessary privacy. Light and space are extra strengths
As you see on the map the location of your stay is very central: the dike, the fishing port, the Leopold parc are easy to reach. And the Escapade I is situated near the Marina where the Mercator sailing ship docks.
For shop lovers the main shopping street is less than 50 m away and whilst shopping you reach the sea within 10 min walk.
On 100 m you will find a square with lots of cosy pubs and a little further on the fishing port with “Vistrap” where fresh fish is supplied daily. From there you can take the ferry to the Eastern Shore for blissful beach walks : a must!
The Leopold park and the Casino are within a stone’s throw away. Who signs up for cultural activities in the Kursaal or the CC De Grote Post doesn’t have to worry because you are there in a jiffy.
Train and tram station are within a few minutes walking distance from the Escapade I, very useful for a trip to historic cities such as Bruges or Ghent. And the European capital Brussels is only 1u away from Ostend.
Those arriving by car will find free parking within walking distance. Free bikes are available from the edge parking.
